The dark night sky is faintly covered with stars
The night becomes morning as drunks come from bars
Yet there I lay in the cool of the night
While the moon is risen and gives me light
Eyes do ponder but yet seem to stare
At the clothed night that looks so bare
My mind has left me my body to spare
No matter what could happen I couldn't care
The thoughts of God and angels cross my mind
My moment of truth to pause the time
Grandpas, Grandmas and all those who have died
Are up above staring through that eye in the night sky
